Land Yachting

This incredible adrenaline packed sport can be referred to as Land Yachting, Blokarting or x-sailing and with the new lightweight machines, they are capable of reaching nearly 100 m.p.h.
Most land yachts are made of lightweight carbon fibre materials; they sit low to the ground and the pilot rides almost lying down. They have one wheel at the front and two at the back, a large sail and no brakes. With good training, skill and a little daring you can experience what is probably the ultimate speed thrill without an engine.
This exhilarating sport however is not just for the adrenaline junkies but is something that the whole family can enjoy with a little training.
Where to go:
Land yachting takes place at a number of different sites, from abandoned airfields, to sandy beaches and even large grass fields.Want to get started ?
If you have done sailing before, the basics are very similar however you need to be more aware of what's going on around you to avoid accidents. There are a number of places where you can learn to blokart and if you enjoy the experience you can easily purchase your own. Tuition is recommended before trying this sport as it can be dangerous, especially with there being no brakes!Activity Providers:
