Skiing and Snowboarding in Scotland

Scottish snowsports really are for all - there's no elitism - you don't need the latest gear or equipment. Skiing in Scotland is a great option for learning the basics or brushing up on your skills, before paying out for a winter sports break overseas. But there are also some real challenges available for the serious powder hound as well.

Its also easy to check on conditions and head for the hills - advance booking is advised at peak times, especially half term, but not always necessary at others. So check the snow conditions on the Ski-Scotland website and go!

Where to go:

There are five ski centres in Scotland - all are located in the Highlands and all offer skiing and snowboarding tuition and equipment hire.

Want to get started ?

The best way to get started is to book a course of lessons with a ski school at one of Scotland's five ski centres. Cairngorm Mountain, The Lecht and Glenshee are all located in the Cairngorms National Park - Britains largest at 1,400 square miles. Nevis Range and Glencoe Mountain, are located in Lochaber, acknowledged and acclaimed as the Outdoor Capital of the UK.
